Stay up-to-date with Mpumalanga creative arts summit worldwide!
THE PURPOSE OF THE SUMMIT IS TO CREATE A PLATFORM AND TO HELP SOCIETY AND THE PRACTITIONERS UNDERSTAND HOW TOGETHER WE CAN USE ART, DANCE, FILM AND FASHION TO DO BETTER, SO THAT ARTS AND CULTURE CAN BE TRULY ENJOYED BY EVERYONE IN THE REGION AND BEYOND THE PROVINCE OF MPUMALANGA.
We know we won’t solve this problem overnight; since such takes time. But if we work together, collectively we will in time articulate a new language of cultural value that will help all of us to understand better the essential contribution that the arts make to our lives. The summit will further explore the roles and challenges facing the arts, culture and heritage (ACH) sectors and the creative and cultural industries (CCI), in contributing to social and economic development. It will also take cognizance of new trends and emerging debates regarding the dynamics, of preserving our heritage.
The Summit seeks to continue to set a positive agenda for a progressive Bushbuckridge Art, Dance, Music, Film, education and development practice with a 5-year continuity plan to future. The event will bring together community practitioners – policy-makers, the industries and stakeholders, to learn, share in order to advance one another.
